Paula is an illustrator, fabric and woodblock designer.

Inspired by nature, florals, and the British countryside Paula loves to predominantly hand draw her designs and illustrations using Artine 0.4mm fine-liner pens and then flood the page with colour using Winsor and Newton Brush and Promakers. If the project requires it – she will digitally translate these drawings into Procreate or Adobe Illustrator.

“I just find flowers, and all the wonderful things our seasonal world has to offer so incredibly inspiring! The huge varieties of species, and the meanings behind flowers too – floriography – then the incredible depth of colour under the ocean, all our animals, insects… the list is endless. I draw, because I love it. I simply find myself literally drawn to my pens – if I don’t draw for while, I can get quite grumpy!! When I am not crafting, my favourite place to be – is at my kitchen table, surrounded by my pens. Music on, inspiration level up, and creating and drawing whatever it might be…!”

Paula studied Printed Textile Design at Loughborough University, graduating with a 1st Class BA (Hons) degree.

However, it wasn’t really until the first Coronavirus pandemic, that she re-took up drawing for pleasure.

And now, she would be lost without it!
