Well, this is strange – I am sat here typing, whilst listening to a podcast.
That doesn’t sound so strange. Well, it is when I AM ON IT?!
Podcasts are a fairly recent thing to me – when I used to commute to London for work, podcasts would have been AMAZING! But, c’est la vie – now, I have been listening to them about 6 months I suppose – lovely to delve into a whole other world for a brief moment in time, to learn.
Late last year, on a trip up to Manchester when I had a first meeting with Craft Cotton Co to discuss my fabric collection – I delved into The LoveCrafts Show – listening to a couple of episodes while the miles disappeared up the motorway behind me.
Anyway, fast forward June 2021, I am on the ‘Indie June’ LoveCrafts round table show special! Cool, hey?!
I wondered if it would feel scary doing a podcast. I wondered if what I had to say would be worthy or enough haha – classic imposter syndrome… the irony from what we talk about in the podcast! YOU DO YOU!! I should really listen to my own words of advice sometimes! But, actually it was so rewarding and wonderful – it just felt like I was having a very normal chat and I left feeling so inspired and I learnt so much from my fellow round table crafty friends – Toni Lipsey, Samantha Brunson, Anuradha Bhaumick.
It would be lovely to hear what you think. I hope our ramblings on turning your hobbies into a hustle and various chats inspire you with the lessons we have learnt along the way.
