Let It Snow!

I love a wreath. It's no secret - as I have taken to having some sort of wreath on our own front door, all year round! It makes me smile, and it apparently makes people smile as they walk past too - so, wreaths it is...
However, sometimes - it is nice to have a wreath indoors too - either on a door, or perhaps a piece of wall art, or home decor.
LET IT SNOW WREATH
You will need...
Ingredients
MDF Snowflakes
Strong glue
Paint
Glitter
Tools
Hot Glue Gun (optional)
Paintbrush
Method
Having had my Cricut Maker* for a little while now - I am investigating all the wealth of materials it can cut, the incredible things it can do - and I wanted to try and see how it would cut wood! Yes - I know, it can even cut WOOD!
I started out by cutting out a 'wreath' - just basically a thin circle at the maximum size I could from the chipboard squares (which are around 28cm). You could however use any circle - of wood, a metal wreath ring, even cut one out from cardboard if it is going to be inside! 'Heavy Chipboard'** is incredibly 'thick' - but, with the 'Knife Blade' - I was impressed at how easily it cut the circle out.
Then, I really set the 'knife blade' to work... cutting out 'Let It Snow' using a calligraphy style font... I used one I have previously downloaded called 'Sugar Plum'. The finer details proved more challenging to the chipboard/knife - but, it worked out ok! Especially as I was planning it to be painted and within a larger project... I would recommend larger, not as 'swirly' a details for chipboard! However, I do need to play about with this material more.
I picked up some cute little MDF snowflake shapes from Hobbycraft, some grey and white paint, and silver glitter - and just 'got creative'! I painted the circle, the words - before going mad with glitter and a hot glue gun. You could use any strong glue but I just prefer the hot glue for being so 'instant' and - well... strong!
I plan to hang it in our hallway as a little cute reminder that Christmas (and positive times!) are on their way... I love snow! Do you?!
